On Sunday, 19th July, my wife, Leigh, and I were honored to meet an amazing Native American woman of the Haida Nation of Alaska who was to have a profound effect on us. Her name is Saand laanaay, meaning ‘beautiful dawn’, and we found her to be indeed a beautiful soul, who shared her belief system with us and taught us much.
